Our Beliefs
God
We believe God is the eternal Creator of all things. God exists as the Trinity, three persons in one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Humanity
We believe humanity is deeply loved and valued by God, yet at the same time, corrupt. Although humanity has rebelled against God, God continuously pursues a relationship with humanity.
Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, came to earth and lived a sinless life, was crucified, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven. Through his death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, Jesus reconciled humanity to God, defeated Satan, and conquered death. Jesus calls all people to follow him, learn from him, and receive eternal life through his work on the cross and resurrection. One day Jesus will return and consummate his kingdom on earth.
The Church
We believe all followers of Jesus are called to exist together in a worshiping community. The Church is not a building but a community of people who follow Jesus. Jesus followers are called to partner with him in seeing people restored to God, each other, and creation.
The Bible
We believe the Bible contains the story of God's relationship with humanity. Therefore, it is the primary source for understanding God's intentions for the world, the life of Jesus, the role of the Church, and our hope for the future.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells Jesus followers and is active in the Church by distributing spiritual gifts, providing revelation, offering comfort and conviction, and empowering believers to live in obedience to God.
The Sacraments
We believe in the Sacraments of Baptism and The Lord's Supper. Therefore, all followers of Jesus are called to identify with him in baptism and partake of the bread and wine, representing His body and blood, at the Lord's Supper.
The Future
We believe God's ultimate plan is the restoration of all things. The resurrection of Jesus was our first glimpse of the world to come. Those in union with God through Jesus will one day be resurrected on the restored earth and the restored creation, where they will exist eternally with God.
